AXIS M3006-V Network Camera delivers superb
3-megapixel video with a wide-angle view, and supports full frame rate HDTV 1080p.
The affordably priced camera offers a cost-effective solution for retail stores, hotels, schools and offices with tight budgets for video surveillance.
AXIS M3006-V provides a viewing angle of 134°, while its 3-megapixel resolution provides 50% more details than HDTV 1080p. With its wide horizontal and vertical angles of view, as well as its high resolution, the camera can offer complete coverage when installed near a corner of a store.
A corner installation would also enable users to look into the shelves on either side of the camera.
The vandal- and dust-resistant indoor mini dome enables easy and discreet installation. With a 3-axis camera angle adjustment, the camera can be mounted on walls or ceilings. The direction of the camera can be easily adjusted and the image leveled. The camera supports Axis’ Corridor Format, which enables vertically oriented video streams that optimize coverage of areas such as corridors, hallways or store aisles.
The camera comes focused at delivery, which shortens the installation time. It has a 2 m (6.6 ft.) network cable attached and supports Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af), which eliminates the need for power cables and reduces installation costs.
AXIS M3006-V supports digital pan/tilt/zoom, which can be used as a “digital varifocal lens” that allows the angle of view to be adjusted remotely after the physical installation. The camera’s digital PTZ, together with its support for multi-view streaming, enables different areas of a scene to be cropped from the full view and streamed simultaneously for viewing or recording—simulating several virtual cameras that can help minimize the bit rate and storage needs.
Multiple streams in H.264 and Motion JPEG can be sent simultaneously.
AXIS M3006-V includes intelligent capabilities such as video motion detection and detection of camera tampering attempts like blocking or spray-painting. It also offers substantial support for the installation of intelligent video applications, such as people counting and heat mapping, through the AXIS Camera Application Platform.
The camera’s built-in microSDHC card slot enables several days of recording to be stored locally on a memory card. When local storage is used together with the free AXIS Camera Companion, users have an easy way to remotely view and manage video from up to 16 cameras per site.
Advanced security and network management features such as HTTPS encryption with preserved performance, IPv6 and Quality of Service
Open Application Programming Interface (API) for software integration, including VAPIX® from Axis Communications
Support for AXIS Video Hosting System (AVHS) with One-Click Camera connection
Support for common e-mail services requires 5.50 firmware or later. The access to many common webmail services requires SSL/TLS security. Predefined profiles for Gmail, Hotmail, AOL and Yahoo are included in the 5.50 firmware in order to simplify the configuration.
