The Challenge

TakingITGlobal recently opened an office in downtown Toronto and identified a series of security priorities. At the top of the list was an intelligent, integrated access control system that would be easy to manage and make financial sense for a non-profit organization.

In keeping with the organization’s commitment to sustainability, the solution also had to have minimal impact on the environment and support energy conservation.

The Solution

Intelligent features enable secure and reliable communication between components, while reducing installation costs by eliminating the need for extra hardware. For added security and peace of mind, the system delivers real-time alarm notifications to facility managers or security personnel.

Assa Abloy IN220 Power over Ethernet (PoE) access control lock: an energy-efficient solution that enables convenient and cost-effective installations by harnessing existing network infrastructure;

McKinney ElectroLynx® PoE Quick Connect hinge: this intelligent and durable hinge transfers Ethernet data through the door to the electromechanical hardware, which operates the door;

Assa Abloy IN120 WiFi access control lock: available in mortise and cylindrical lock configurations, this WiFi-enabled lock simplifies access control installation and expansion, while delivering a sophisticated aesthetic and heightened security.

DNA Fusion Suite software: an intuitive program that integrates fully with the chosen Assa Abloy lock technology to enable easy access to all system data and provide built-in reporting on door status, personnel, event history and more.
